Shelby Pease-Adams is broker/owner of Lifestyle Realty Services. Although Lifestyle Realty services is relatively new (opening its doors in 2005); it's owner has over 12 years experience working in various capacities of real estate. A middle school teacher by trade, Shelby decided to pursue the exciting and oftentimes challenging career of real estate. It began when she took a position as marketing director of a large apartment complex for a national property management company during the Olympics. She successfully launched marketing campaign after next, maintaining close to 100% occupancy rates. Then her work at Emory University's General Counsel gave her a taste of the commercial end of real estate. While their she aided a real estate attorney at the General Counsel's office in procuring parcels of land for the expansion and renovation of Crawford Long Hospital. It was at this point in her career that she decided to get her real estate license. Her focus shifted from commercial to residential, and ironically most of her initial clients where school teachers. She realized the lack of quality, affordable housing for professionals with limited budgets, and began a quest to find programs catering to their needs. This also enabled her to specialize in foreclosure transactions at the time. It was her time spent working with a non-profit regional builder that broadened her knowledge of tax credits, subsidies, tax abatements and working with Neighborhood Planning Units (NPU's).

This school teacher turned broker developed a unique way to service Lifestyle seller clients. Shelby states, "The FLEX PLAN came about through deep meditation and prayer. I simply asked God how Lifestyle Realty can be of real service...impacting lives. The FLEX Plan was revealed to me allowing sellers to list their properties as low as 1%. It's an innovative concept allowing the seller, buyer and agent to win! This is also when Lifestyle Realty became a ministry in which all can benefit."

As a real estate investor and teacher, Shelby feels it's necessary to combine education with real estate to help clients avoid unnecessary pitfalls. Knowing that education leads to empowerment, Lifestyle Realty provides on-going homebuyer workshops. Lifestyle is working on providing an open forum for investors to discuss the ups and downs of investing as well.
